Tyre problem cost Kari dearly

For Niko Kari the Formula 3 Feature race at Saturday was a couple of laps too long. Almost certain podium changed to position well behind points.

Kari managed to get great qualifying run. Fifth position was exactly what Kari wanted when coming for this weekend. At the start Kari rocketed up to third, and was well on course for podium, when problem stroke.

–  Suddenly the left front tyre just gave up. The grip was gone and after I did one lock up mistake the pace dropped dramatically, dissapointted Kari said after the race.

When there was a lack of grip, turning to corners was almost impossible. Therefore Kari dropped like a stone. In just few laps third place changed to fifteenth.

Sunday’s race didn’t bring any more luck for Kari. When the overtaking is difficult, it’s hard to climb up on order.

The season continues after short summer break at Belgium, when F3 races at legendary Spa-Francorchamps
