Niko Kari moves to Formula 2!
The rising Finnish star Niko Kari makes his Formula 2 debut this weekend at Russia. Kari jumps in to the the most important feeder category of Formula 1 in Russian race weekend at Sochi.
Previously racing in GP3, Kari continues his journey with MP Motorsport. When the opportunity to race with “bigger cars” arrived, Kari didn’t hesitate.
With the help of his trusted collaborators Kari have this great opportunity.
– I’m very happy about this opportunity. I’m looking forward to face this new opportunity, happy Kari reckons.
The target for the first F2-weekend is clear.
– My aim is to be competitive from the very start. My strength have always been the ability to learn new things quickly. In the simulator everything has been working very well. And the Sochi track I already know.
With new car, Kari has to learn a few new tricks.
– Using DRS like we do in F2 and mandatory pit stops are new things to me. Also Halo is a new acquaintance for me, but it doesn’t effect on driving. The car itself is a little bit heavier than GP3 machine, but it has a lot of more horse powers. But afrer all, these machines include four black tires, and my aim is always trying to move these things as fast as possible.
